An Experienced General Ophthalmologist

Dr. Judith Kirby became fascinated with eye surgery in medical school and graduated medical school in 1991 in Philadelphia. She then began general ophthalmologist training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kirby followed that up with a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. Through all this training, she's developed a very patient-orientated and compassionate approach that has led to many satisfied patients. Call today to make an appointment.

We Treat the Following with Long-Term Care

  • Cataracts–We monitor them and when the vision decreases to a certain level, an operation may be required.
  • Glaucoma–We monitor this frequently with visual field tests and 3 dimensional optic nerve pictures.
  • Macular Degeneration-There are now new and exciting treatments that can help to prevent vision loss.
  • Diabetic Eye Disease-Annual ophthalmologic exams are essential for anyone with diabetes, as well as controlling blood sugars.
  • Dry Eye Syndrome–You'll receive topical drops that can be either over-the-counter or prescription. We also have punctal plugs for tears ducts in order to better maintain the natural lubrication of your eye.
